Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of church is Redeemer Church?

We are both traditional and new.  Redeemer Church was founded with a cornerstone ceremony in 1892.  We established a new contemporary praise

service in 2003 in addition to our traditional service.  Whatever your worship style preference, there's something for you at Redeemer Church! See How We Worship.

What do you believe?

Please review What We Believe.

Is Redeemer Church affiliated with a denomination?

No. We are an independent, nondenominational church.

Who is the pastor?

Our Senior Pastor is Kim Katterheinrich and our Children's Pastor is Tim Tilney.  See Pastors' Greetings.

Where does the church meet?

Sundays
Times: 9:45 AM (Heritage) & 11:00 AM (Praise)
Where: 3431 Hamilton-Middletown Rd (Rt. 4)

Hamilton, OH  (Fairfield Township)

How do I get there?

What is a typical Sunday worship like?

We have two 60-minute celebrations (see above). People typically arrive a bit earlier to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a muffin. Usually, it goes like this: we sing modern and traditional songs of praise and worship followed by a 20-30 minute talk from the Bible.  See How We Worship.

Do I have to dress up to come to Redeemer?

Come as you are, and that can mean jeans, t-shirt, shorts, sandals (Jesus worshiped in sandals) or something fancier if you like. Generally speaking, if you're comfortable, we're comfortable.  Typically, our Heritage Service is a little less casual.

Will I be embarrassed or singled out in any way?

We try to make sure that Redeemer guests can relax, without fear of being embarrassed. We don't announce guests, and don't make them stand or say anything. Guests are encouraged to pick up a "welcome bag" from the Welcome Center which provides additional information about Redeemer.

Are you going to ask me for money?

Redeemer's members and regular attenders support the church financially; we don't expect our guests to do that. We do collect an offering during our celebrations, however, don't feel obligated to donate.

How do I become a member?

By attending a sixty-minute membership class and submitting a membership application. Membership classes are held periodically throughout the year.

How do I get connected with Redeemer's people and ministries?

Talk to one of our pastors or any member about fellowship opportunities. Or check our calendar for worship, bible studies and events. See Calendar and Community Groups

What if I have other questions?

Simply e-mail Pastor Kim or Pastor Tim and they'll answer your questions as quickly as possible.  See Contacts
