We know it's not easy visiting a new church for the first time. You might wonder:
Do I belong here?
Am I really welcome?
Will the people be unfriendly, or too friendly?
Will I stand out?
Will it be easy for me to leave if I want to?
Will they ask me for money?
Will my kids enjoy it?
How should I dress?
Am I still welcome if I don't believe?
We want to make visiting Redeemer an enjoyable, easy, stress-free, relaxing experience. We strive to make Redeemer welcoming to all people, whatever their background, including those who have never been to church before.
When you arrive…
When you arrive at Redeemer for either service, you are invited to park in the front and use either of the front entrances. We have handicapped parking near both entrances.
You’ll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in anything from traditional to casual to jeans, shorts and sneakers. If you arrive early, you’re welcome to stop in “The Gathering Grounds” to have a cup of coffee or other drinks and pick up information about Redeemer Church in the lobby area.
The service usually begins with some upbeat music, followed by a welcome and introduction. More singing will follow, led by the praise team in the Praise Service. We have a heart for God's children of all ages, so our worship reflects a variety of styles and tastes; from contemporary with a praise band to hymns accompanied by an organ.
We include collecting tithes and offerings as part of our worship and thanksgiving to God. We want you to feel welcome as our guest, so let the plate pass. Redeemer's members and regular attenders support the church financially; we don't expect our guests to do that.
The message will be based on the Bible, and often includes interesting quotes from contemporary people, songs, or videos. You'll hear solid Christian theology in intelligent, understandable, relevant, challenging terms.
After the service, we hope you’ll stay, meet some people and enjoy some refreshments. Church is about God and worship, but it is also about community and friendship, so we hope you will genuinely experience warmth and friendliness at Redeemer.
